Lunar Eclipse

Tomorrow night at 7:58 pm, will be the starting time for a full lunar eclipse visible in the night sky on Kauai.  Complete coverage is expected at 9:06pm.  This is the first visible full lunar eclipse anywhere on Earth in the past two years.  During part of the phase, it will appear as a “blood red” moon before it is slowly covered by the shadow of the Earth.  The moon should be visible in the western sky.

We have had cloudy skies for the past couple of nights so we are hoping they clear for a spectacular view of the entire event which will take longer than two hours in its entirety.

If you are fortunate enough to be on Kauai with us when this happens, I’m sure it will be an event you will never forget!
